Really, what is this sewing machine foot for? I want to know!! I think it goes together, as a unit, and hooks to something, maybe the sewing machine? Maybe a missing piece? It’s driving me NUTS!!

It’s a zipper foot. The piece with the little orange screw goes on the unnotched bit, and with it you can slide the foot from one side of the needle to the other.

Thank you!! It’s been sitting in my sewing bin for years, I never new what it was. I did crawl the web for it, but didn’t know exactly what I was looking for, so I didn’t find too much.
I appreciate this and pehaps can sew a zipper a little better now!
