Sew…. July 27, 2009

So I’m trying to sew. I made a few taggies (already gone to a friend), burp clothes, nursing covers, finished up a lovely gift set for my old boss, and am currently working on my “Little Crayon Purse” I had this great idea and designed this great pattern and purse and I’m trying to perfect both. May try to get the pattern up for sale at the local quilt shop. I’m neglecting other important things like dishes, showering, floors, etc so that I can sew while my newborn sleeps. Will get pics up soon.

Colton! July 22, 2009

So Colton arrived one week late… he’s the cutest, snuggliest little baby. He loves to nurse, which is wonderful because it’s so good for him, and FREE!!

Sewing is officially on hold, someday soon I hope to pick it back up again, but currently my time is spent with my kids, and cleaning, and sleeping… mostly in that order.

Still sewing… January 9, 2009

I’m still sewing, but if you didn’t know already- I’m pregnant. I’m 16 weeks along this week and weeks 5 through 14 were filled with killer morning sickness that lasted all day. Included with that was a lovely 3 day stomach bug that landed me on an IV for 7 hours, and now a raging head cold. So, pregnancy is fine- it’s me that’s falling apart.

I did make a few bags throughout the last few months, but they were ordered and are sold, I will post pics someday. My poor finger :( October 22, 2008

So for anyone reading that doesn’t know me or know what happened, here it is….

Last week I bought a fancy new rotary cutter and an $8 mat. I was trimming away thinking about how easy it was to use a rotary instead of scissors and

 

SLICE!

 

Cut off a bit of my left pointer finger!!!

 

So as you can imagine, typing, sewing, everything has been hard with a little piece of finger missing. BUT, it is getting better and I did manage to finish the bag I was cutting without bleeding on it too much. So, updates they are a coming… patience people, patience!

What is this? October 11, 2008

Really, what is this sewing machine foot for? I want to know!! I think it goes together, as a unit, and hooks to something, maybe the sewing machine? Maybe a missing piece? It’s driving me NUTS!!

So I guess I’m getting some pretty good hits. Only jsut installed the counter about 2 nights ago… and I’m over 23 views! That’s good to me!

Worked on the pink pants bag… not really what I expected it to be. I am going to try to alter it a little and see if I can make something out of it.

OK, off to school. Can’t see my blog from the school computer, BUT I can get on craigslist’s casual encounters… go figure.
